The BMW 4 Series Convertible model 2018 is a success story. It dates back to June 2013, the launch date of this series by the German car maker. Developed on the basis of the 3 Series, the BMW 4 Series Convertible features a lower silhouette with elongated sports lines.
Since its inception, BMW has delivered over 400,000 units to customers worldwide. Hexagonal headlights and taillights feature LED technology as standard. The BMW 4 Series Convertible can be ordered in Sport Line, Luxury Line and M Sport. Customers now have a much greater number of possibilities for configuring their car. BMW now offers a wider range of alloy wheels of 18 and 19 inches. Advantage, Luxury Line, Sport Line and M Sport, each benefit from a customized rim pattern. For the exterior color, the German car maker proposes two new shades: Snapper Rocks Blue and Sunset Orange. They are only available for Series 4 and contribute to more sporty shape.
For a more agile maneuverability, the BMW 4 Series Convertible has a lower center of gravity than the 3 Series (Coupe: -40 mm, Gran Coupe: -30 mm, Convertible: -20 mm) with a larger gauge on the side (+14 mm) and back (+22 mm). Without compromising comfort, the suspension is now more rigid with a more advanced damping technology. To meet the needs of highly sporty drivers, high performance tires can be optionally fitted to all model variants. All four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines are equipped with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. The gasoline engine is divided as follows: 420i with 135 kw / 184 hp, the new 430i with 185 kw / 252 hp and 440i with 240 kw / 326 hp, with a consumption between 42.7 and 29.7 mpg (5.5l and 7.9l / 100 km).

There is also a range of three diesel engines: 420D with 140 kw / 190 hp, 430D with 190 kw / 258 hp and 435d xDrive with 230 kw / 313 hp, with consumption ranging from 58.8 to 39.8 mpg (4.0 l to 5.9 l / 100 km). For the Gran Coupe model, the 418d four-cylinder diesel engine, which develops 110 kw / 150 hp with a consumption of 57.3 mpg (4.1 l / 100 km), is available. You can choose between the six-speed manual gearbox or the eight-speed Steptronic transmission. Traction can be standard or xDrive. The menu for the central display of information, navigation, telephony has a new look that is more pleasant and intuitive to use.
The driver has the option to choose the instrument display options depending on the driving mode selected: Comfort, Eco Pro or Sport. Your smartphone can be charged wirelessly. In addition, the external antenna of the car now also provides the mobile signal for better reception in poor signal areas. The optional ConnectedDrive navigation package also includes a WiFi hotspot plus two USB ports in the center console.
